06/05/2010

Poker pro Phil (Unabomber) Laak’s attempt on the world record for continuous poker playing was still in full swing with 37 hours gone and 43 still to outlast as InfoPowa went to press Friday.

Laak is playing for the Camp Sunshine charity and to make the Guinness Book of Records by breaking a 74 hour and 20 minutes record for non-stop playing set by Paul Zimbler at WSOPE in London last year.

Laak plans to play 80 hours to be sure of setting an unassailable new record.

The high profile poker pro commenced his attempt on June 2 at the Bellagio Poker Room in Las Vegas and plans to play through non-stop to the evening of June 5.

Readers can watch a live feed on the record attempt at Ustream.com.
