More tit for tat in Harrah´s vs. Everest Poker litigation

06/13/2010

The increasingly bitter litigation between Harrah’s Entertainment and Everest Poker, an online poker provider, went up another gear this week on the news that Everest has launched further legal action for an alleged infringement of its trademark.

The Las Vegas Sun reported that the complaint centres on Harrah’s Interactive Entertainment’s use of the Everest Poker trademarks on poker table felts, banners and posters and television monitors at the World Series of Poker currently running in Las Vegas.

Harrah’s and Everest have been locked in suit and counter-suit legal actions in the Las Vegas courts since April (see previous InfoPowa reports) when Everest parent group Ultra Internet Media SA claimed breach of a multi-million dollar partnership agreement.

Harrah’s responded with a denial and a counter-suit alleging that Ultra Internet had breached the contract and other claims.
