European online poker battle coming soon
Global Gaming Interactive?s new PokerBattle.com website is expected to launch by the end of this (2010) year, and will offer European players standard poker games and real-money gaming, according to a statement from the company.
A GGI spokesman said this week that the company believes that legislative attempts to legalise and regulate online gambling in the United States will ultimately be successful, but that in the meantime the company is positioning itself by launching in Europe. In order to reassure players that the action on the site ? there are as yet no details regarding the software to be deployed ? is fair and safe, GGI will be introducing an independent ?commission? to oversee PokerBattle?s integrity through round-the-clock monitoring and software audits. The company statement did not disclose further detail on this body.
PokerBattle will also be implementing a patented CyberPay system that allows players to have full access to their funds from anywhere at anytime.
Promotional plans for the new site include a $1 million freeroll tournament.
