Another controversial online poker scandal appears to be in the making at Pitbull Poker.com, albeit not on the same scale as the Absolute and Ultimatebet poker debacles that shook the industry in recent years.

Once again, poker sleuths on the 2+2 message board have been active in a mammoth 105 page thread debating the question of possible cheating on the site, originally registered as WSOP.com by former Binions employee Federico Schiavio, who wrote Flash poker software for his website.

Since then Pitbull has been listed under a UK company called Dimensus, which recently changed its domicile to Cyprus (see previous Info Powa reports).

2+2 investigations were initially hampered by an apparent reluctance by Pitbull manager Dave Brenes to furnish hand histories. Brenes subsequently appears to have fallen out with the owner Kevin Baronowski and his partner, known only as 'Jordan'.

There have been claims of attempts to silence Brenes' posting, posting falsely whilst claiming to be Brenes, and this week allegations that Baronowski and Jordan were caught in the early hours of the morning trying to remove computer and server equipment from the operational premises of the site in Costa Rica.

The latter incident, which has unpaid staff connotations, reportedly resulted in the duo being interviewed by local police, and triggered speculation that the allegedly unpaid staffers would seek to stop them leaving Costa Rica until a court hearing can be held on the pay disputes.

Pitbull Poker operated on the small Flash Poker Network, and was unavailable to players mid-week, a fact confirmed by independent PokerScout statistics which showed no action.
