New online poker tools

Novice poker players intimidated by tales of the need for math prowess to calculate the odds and stay ahead in the game may be interested in yet more poker tools designed for the purpose.

Hard-sell press material this week extolled the virtues of new software aids branded Holdem Genius and Texas Calculatem, which both claim to make you the smartest player at the table.

Holdem Genius is an odds calculator where the user simply drags and drops the Genius, and it will automatically attach to a particular online poker game chosen by the player. It then 'watches' the user's hand, instantly calculating hand odds and pot odds with no manual inputs necessary, giving the user real-time betting advice based on the strength of the hand, the outs, the community cards, and what the other players are likely to hold.

Settings on the product can be adjusted to match the user's preferred playing style, making the software more aggressive of tighter pre-flop as required.

The developers claim that Holdem Genius can attach to multiple games simultaneously.

The best part of this product is that it can be downloaded for free from various poker rooms that has partnered with the developers!

The developers of Texas Calculatem claim that 25 000 players already using their product can't be wrong, and that it is among the best of its kind on the market.

The software uses Auto-Read technology to advise the player on hand odds and betting in real-time without the need to input any data or give any instructions. Users just attach the calculator to a selected game, and the software does the rest, delivering information on based on hands played and the current hand, and using complex mathematical formulas to recommend the best play – check, call, fold, or raise.

Texas Calculatem is adjustable to suit the user's requirements, even during play. The developers also offer a Pro version of the product that presumably delivers more detailed information as the game progresses.
