10/18/2009

Three days on from attracting 263 players to its tables, the PokerStars.net Asia Pacific Poker Tour Auckland Main Event final table has been decided.

It's an international affair, featuring French player Gerome Guitteau holding a chip lead of around 500 000 on 1 204 000 pursued by local pro Jason Brown on 709 000, US player Michael Shizaki on 620 000 and New Zealanders Simon Watt and Richard Lancaster still a threat at 581 000 and 568 000 respectively. Local player Lance Climo is in the middle of the field on 350 000, chased by Jens Walther of Germany on 349 500. The two low stacks are China's Ke Sijia on 294 000 and Australian Assadour Assadourian on 231 000.

UPDATE:
As InfoPowa went to press the main event final table was down to the wire as Guitteau (2.24 million), Jason Brown (1.46 million) and Simon Watt (1.19 million) battled it out three-handed to decide who would be playing in the final heads up.
