Devilfish Gaming acquires Hungarian poker room

Devilfish Gaming plc, the UK based online poker company started by poker ace Dave Ulliott, has announced the acquisition of the player base of Hungarian-based Paramin Poker.com, a company on the Entraction online poker network.

Owned by Poker Akademia, the Paramin site has migrated its players to DevilfishPoker.com and the two companies have entered into an affiliate agreement.

A Devilfish spokesman said that Hungary is one of the fastest growing poker markets and Eastern European countries have recently seen a rapid expansion in the popularity of the game.

Paul Barnes, CEO of Devilfish Gaming plc, commented: "This is a terrific step forward for Devilfish Gaming plc. This acquisition adds a significant number of players to Devilfishpoker.com and we have also entered a new affiliate agreement with Poker Akademia, which will be mutually beneficial to both companies.
