WPT cancels Borgata Poker Open

WPT cancels Borgata Poker Open

11/28/2008

Rumours earlier this (November) month that the World Poker Tour was about to remove the Borgata Poker Open from its schedule of 2009 events have been confirmed by the company.

The Borgata Poker Open was slated for the end of January 29, but is now no longer on the WPT Season 7 program. When InfoPowa went to press there was no information on the reasons for the cancellation.

However, all is not lost to poker fans, because the Borgata has replaced the WPT event with its own tournament, which will take place at a date to be announced, probably sometime in the Borgata Winter Poker Open.
