Will Everest join the rugular weekend online poker tourney action?
A poker site which has been catching the eye due to its energetic publicity efforts, Everest Poker.com, may be considering entry into the regular weekend online poker tourney sector alongside sites like Poker Stars, Party Poker, Bodog, Ultimate and Full Tilt. This weekend Everest is putting a guaranteed $100 000 prizepool tournament together in what obervers say could be a trial run to test player response.
The tournament will run today (Saturday) with a $100 =$9 buy-in, and its success will be carefully monitored by rivals, players and observers alike.
"The response to our previous guaranteed tournaments has been fantastic and we're giving all of our players a chance to enter this one," said Jonathan May, Everest Poker manager.
Another option for those who want to play in the tournament is to buy-in with 1 Gold Token + $9, while loyal Everest Poker customers can compete for the $100,000 prize pool without spending any cash at all.
"For our devoted players, we wanted to offer them a really nice reward, and they're getting the chance to buy into this tournament with their Summit Points," said May.
