Expekt switches to iPoker network
Per Widerstrom, the CEO of the Expekt.com Limited sportsbook, casino, bingo and poker group is a man with a mission - he intends to directly challenge the Scandinavian dominance of the Swedish government's Svenska Spel poker operation.
Widerstrom says the market will witness the start of this in the near future, when his company launches extensive promotional plans. "We intend to challenge Svenska Spel in a big way, by carrying out mass media campaigns and highlighting the stronger quality of our offers when directly compared to theirs," Widerstrom vows.
A new poker site and software will be an important part of the Widerstrom offensive - over the past few years Expekt has operated on the Microgaming and Tain platforms, but has now settled on Playtech as its poker provider of choice, together with the growing iPoker network.
