Mamma Mia online poker room for Microgaming network

11/14/2007

The Microgaming Poker Network welcomed a new South American online poker site this week with the arrival of the Chilean-based Mamamia Gaming.com operation.

The site goes live today (Tuesday) and should prove popular with the increasingly important Latin American sector.

With an initial focus on Chile and Argentina, Mamamia Poker expects to reach further into South America though a strong affiliate network, and the owners have ambitious plans for European expansion, too – all of which will be assisted by the network's multi-language capabilities that currently deliver software in 19 languages.

A newspaper and TV led marketing campaign will launch within Chile to support the new site.

“Microgaming’s multilingual and multicurrency capabilities, coupled with the best poker lobby in the business made choosing a software provider pretty easy," said Daniel Pagmar, the general manager at Mamamia Poker. "By working together, I believe we can quickly establish ourselves and succeed in what are still very young markets - Chile and Argentina. We look forward to a long and successful partnership.”

Microgaming's CEO, Roger Raatgever, commented: “We are delighted to be welcoming Mamamia Poker to the Microgaming Poker Network – our first South American operator. We’ve spent a great deal of time and resources building a support network on the ground in South America and we see this addition as just the start. We believe that our ability to provide poker in more languages than any other network is critical to helping our operators become successful in what is a truly global marketplace and we look forward to helping Mamamia achieve its aims - both in South America and beyond .”
