Playtech poker network liquidity more than doubles

03/12/2007

The acquisition late last year of the merged Tain and Tribeca Tables online poker networks by Playtech for $75 million has brought with it significant improvements in player liquidity on Playtech's iPoker network, according to a statement from the company this week.

With the takeover completed a full month ahead of schedule, player liquidity - the number of players concurrently playing on the iPoker network - has grown from 8 400 to over 20 000 over the five months since the deal was signed.

One of the valuable 'by products' of the deal has been an increase in Playtech's casino business levels thanks to cross-marketing through the enlarged poker network.
