WPT online poker sites is back
World Poker Tour's undertaking that it would launch a bigger and better online poker site (see previous InfoPowa reports) was realised this week when the company re-launched on Cryptologic's top quality poker software. The poker company initially tried developing a proprietary software for its online venture, but switched to Crypto in April 2007 as a precursor to the new site, which does not accept US players.
World Poker Tour.com comes up to expectation with a big, bold, professional design that is easy to use and is full of solid information, useful content and a quality range of games. At World Poker Tour's online poker room, players will find a wide choice of online poker games to choose from, including Texas Hold'em, Omaha/Hi-Lo, Seven Card Stud, and Hold'em Blackjack.
These are supported by around-the-clock ring games, multi-table tournaments, and Sit and Go Tournaments, and backed by online satellite poker tournaments offering players the chance to enter one of the renowned WPT tournaments and perhaps win a seat at a WPT final table.
Site features include comprehensive hand history, detailed live statistics, the ability to personalise player avatars, and convenient multi-currency play.
The site is a member of the Cryptologic poker network, offering global action with thousands of players.
Steve Lipscomb, chief executive of WPT, said: "The launch of WorldPokerTour.com allows us to strengthen our brand with the unveiling of a comprehensive and robust online gaming platform. Our strategic partnership with CryptoLogic offers our users a stable, secure and proven platform while the flexible infrastructure can meet the demands of our growing business."
