Bigger Ongame Poker Classic now rescheduled.

Several new online poker rooms have joined the huge Ongame poker network, and as a result it has been decided to both expand and reschedule the upcoming Ongame Network Poker Classic, Ongame announced this week.

With a guaranteed prize pool of $5 million, of which a million will go to the overall winner, this is a seriously attractive tournament and the addition of a $50 000 freeroll for early bird qualifiers makes for more interest.

The Ongame Network Poker Classic is a “flight” tournament that will begin online across all Ongame sites on November 4, playing down to 45 players. One month later, those 45 players will be flown to one of Europe’s premier casinos, the Casino de Barcelona, where their electronic chip stacks will be translated into real-life equivalents, and the lion’s share of the $5 million prize pool will be awarded, with the winner crowned around December 3rd.

There’s a $5 000 + $200 buy-in for this event, although it will also be possible to qualify through a number of satellites on Ongame network sites. Satellite winners who secure their seats before midnight ET on September 2 will also qualify for the $50,000 bonus freeroll, which starts at 4:00 p.m. ET on September 3. The single- and multi-tiered satellite qualifiers have buy-ins for as little as a dollar.
