New schedule for Professional Poker Tour.

By RP, August 15, 2006

Some schedule changes to this year’s (second) Professional Poker Tour were announced this week.

The PPT starts on September 11th during the Borgata Poker Open, and the schedule has now been changed to move the first event of the second season to Foxwoods during the WPT stop there on November 7th.

While the Borgata will lose the first event of the second season, the PPT will hold one of the second season tournaments there in 2007, probably during the Borgata Winter Poker Open in January.

Television coverage by the Travel Channel of the event will again be extensive. The PPT coverage showcases the entirety of a poker tournament rather than just the final table action. Each episode is a dedicated “quarter” of the tournament, demonstrating how the best poker players in the world reach the final table.
