888poker extends partnership with Poker Central.

US poker broadcaster Poker Central and operator 888poker announced the renewal of their sponsorship agreement this week for the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl, along with other marquee Poker Central events through 2019.

888poker will be the exclusive in-show sponsor in the real money online poker category. In addition to renewing the sponsorship agreement of the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl, the deal also provides 888poker with several broadcast integrations throughout 2018 poker events: the U.S. Poker Open, Poker Masters, Poker After Dark, and the ARIA High Roller Series.

“This is our third consecutive year partnering with 888poker, and we couldn’t be more pleased to have them on board for our growing slate of prestigious events,” said Sam Simmons, vice president of content at Poker Central.

“Together, we’re looking forward to further growing the sport by offering more tournaments that poker fans and professionals alike will enjoy.”

In 2018, 888poker will offer additional benefits to players, providing them with access to Poker Central’s events. The poker provider will also be offering its online players th chance to win packages to Poker Central’s exclusive events.

Guy Cohen, SVP head of B2C at 888 Holdings said that the new deal illustrates 888poker’s commitment to ‘taking back the game’.

“This exciting collaboration will connect our players to global poker content of the highest calibre both as fans and participants,” he said.

The 2018 Super High Roller Bowl will be one of the biggest high-stakes events of the summer, featuring a buy-in of $300,000 and one of the year’s largest prize pools.

Past winners of the event include Christoph Vogelsang (2017), Rainer Kempe (2016), and Brian Rast (2015). The tournament sees participation from world-class poker professionals with Daniel Negreanu, Antonio Esfandiari, Dominik Nitsche, Phil Hellmuth, and Phil Ivey as past competitors, to name a few.

Poker Central delivers poker’s top live events around the world via PokerGO, its direct-to-consumer OTT service, as well as through network television distribution.

The broadcaster delivers over 100 days of live poker on an annual basis alongside a video-on-demand library that features original series and classic poker programming. Streaming and televised tournaments include its owned tournaments, such as Super High Roller Bowl and Poker Masters, along with The World Series of Poker, ARIA High Roller Series, and WPT final tables, among others.
