On the back of concluding its opening Season in Las Vegas, The Global Poker League, through parent company Mediarex Sport and Entertainment, will expand into China during 2017.
The inaugural GPL China season one will launch with eight teams representing cities across China: Beijing Great Dragons, Shanghai Golden Tigers, Guanghzou Pioneers, Shenzhen Eagles, Hangzhou Legends, Xi’an Warriors, Chengdu Pandas and Tianjin Guardians.
Team leaders are expected to be announced within the next two months followed by team selections.
GPL China, which will run separately from the GPL’s core league, will be broadcast live and online.
