Online poker bill scheduled to be heard in New York senate committee tuesday.

By RP, February 1, 2016

The New York Senate Racing, Gaming and Wagering Committee will hear SB5302B online poker bill tomorrow (Tuesday) sponsored by Chair of the Committee Senator John J. Bonacic.

Our readers will recall a similar bill submitted by Bonacic failed in the State Senate last year as did two others in 2014 and 2013.

Provisions in this version of the bill will require a hefty one-time fee of $10 million, paid in 36 equal monthly instalments, by all licensees after operations have begun. The fee would be applied to satisfy the licensees tax obligations to the State.

The meeting will stream live tomorrow from 09:30 to 10:30 EST at https://www.nysenate.gov/calendar/meetings/racing-gaming-and-wagering/february-02-2016/racing-gaming-and-wagering-meeting
