Reviewed Poker

Editorial policy

Clear explanations need clear standards.

Sources and scope

We prioritise published game rules, official tournament documents and explanations from the organisations responsible for them. Articles link to the sources used. A rule for one variant or event is not presented as a rule for every form of poker.

Official sources can simplify details or differ in house procedures. We state the scope of an explanation and avoid turning a disputed procedural point into a universal instruction. Event-specific rulings belong to the relevant organiser.

Examples and artwork

Worked hands are illustrative examples, not records of real play unless clearly identified. We check that a standard deck does not contain duplicate cards, that the proposed combination uses the correct number of cards, and that its category and tiebreakers are accurate.

Card diagrams are checked for rank letters, suit symbols, colours and pip counts. A diagram showing card backs to explain a sequence says so; it does not imply that community cards stay face down during a game. Decorative artwork is not an operator screenshot.

Strategy and results

Position and board texture help explain a decision, but do not establish an opponent’s cards or guarantee a result. Our introductory articles do not provide personalised betting advice. We do not claim first-hand product testing or specialist credentials that have not been established.

Commercial content

The new article collection contains no operator rankings or affiliate offers. Any future commercial relationship must be disclosed where relevant and kept separate from the factual explanation of a rule.

Archive and corrections

Archived news keeps its historical publication date and article address. Retaining an old report does not present its schedules, services, rules or legal developments as current. Substantive corrections should be identified in the affected article rather than silently changing its historical context.

Source links and review information support verification; they do not guarantee that an external page has remained unchanged. When the explanation changes, its review record should reflect the substantive update.
