Mystery online poker high roller Isildur1 was back on the nosebleed tables at Full Tilt Wednesday night to continue his exciting million dollar assaults on some of the world’s top Internet players.
Initially, he did rather well, playing Dwan, Antonius and others on the six-max $300/$600 Pot Limit Omaha virtual tables and scoring a quick $392 000 before moving on to some $500/$1 000 PLO heads-up action with Tom Dwan, which saw the lately luckless poker pro go down another $655 000 over almost 900 hands to his Swedish nemesis.
As a side note, Dwan is experiencing some pretty tough times, and is probably down several millions of dollars this year.
Riding high, Isildur1 then took on another old opponent heads up – Patrik Antonius. The Finnish pro had another nightmare night, going down to the seemingly invincible Isildur1 in a 1 500 hand session that had cost him a mind-boggling $1.6 million by the time he wrapped it up for the night.
Then Isildur1 hit the wall in the form of Antonius’s countryman Ilari Sahamies….and his fortunes took a fast downturn.
In a 597 hand clash the mystery player was roundly thrashed, turning over a substantial portion of his profits from the night – around $1.4 million according to MarketPulse – to the Finn, who won the second, third and fourth largest pots of the night, all worth over $400 000.
With the night’s profit, Isildur1 still managed to recoup some of his recent heavy losses (he was down around $5 million at one point) and now has a bankroll of around $1.5 million. The bets are on that he is likely to deploy this in more high stakes online poker action before long.
