New Hollywood Poker software will bar US players.

Hollywood Poker has become the latest online site to turn away American players following the signing into US law of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act last Friday.

The company says that it is about to introduce “technical functionality” that will enable it to bar players by geographic location and that this will become operational within the next 30 days. Free games will remain available to US players, but they will be barred from real money action.

All obligations to US players will be honoured.

For non-US players there will be no change, and the site will continue to offer Real Money poker, Blackjack, and soon to be launched casino and slot games, including progressive slots.

US players relocating from that country to another country will be accepted as players, but will need to open a new account.
