Ladbrokes Poker Millions won by outsider.

Like many other poker followers, InfoPowa (see earlier reports) thought that Helen “Hells Bells” Chamberlain would walk away from the Ladbrokes Poker Millions this week with the main $1 million prize…but we were wrong.

A little known, 42 year old factory worker called Tony Jones surprised us all by beating “Hell’s Bells” in a close-run finale after 5 hours of play. Adding to the magic is the fact that Tony has only been playing poker for 18 months!

The Romford, UK father-of-three kept his cool in a head-to-head showdown with Helen to walk away with the $1million prize. “There is no way I am a poker player,” he said. “I came here thinking I was making up the numbers and to win the competition is overwhelming.”

The event was the biggest televised poker tournament in Europe thus far.
