Has poker pro scored $25 million in Asian game?.

Tom “durrrr” Dwan, a high profile young online and live tournament high stakes poker pro, has reportedly scored a $25 million victory in a private four handed game in Macau against two Asian professionals and a local billionaire.

At this point we should issue a caveat that the report has not been reliably confirmed and comes from a translated Spanish article which appeared in the publication CardPlayer Latin America.

However, Dwan’s propensity for action-packed and big money poker in Macau lends some credibility to the story…and epics like this always find a ready audience.

The CardPlayer Latin America report locates the big game at the StarWorld Casino in Macau, and recalls that Dwan was playing in a rematch after losing $7 million the first time around, and that the ante was at $15,000/$30,000 in the game.

If this report is accurate, Dwan could be a record breaker, overtaking what is widely believed to be the biggest poker win ever, secured by Antonio Esfandiari at the million dollar buy-in Big One for One Drop event at the 2012 World Series of Poker, in which he took home $18,346,673 after defeating England’s Sam Trickett in the heads up.
