Pokerzone to cover WSOP finals.

By RP, July 13, 2006

A news team from the UK Pokerzone television channel will be in Las Vegas to record the final events leading to the main game at the World Series of Poker, where one of the 9 final table players is likely to walk away with over $10 million – the richest sports prize in the world – as the 2006 poker champion.

The channel will be broadcasting a week long series of location reports leading into the final table.

Sam Orams, Creative Director at Pokerzone said “Last year we were the only TV crew producing nightly reports for the British fans. We can’t wait to get back out there and continue our committed coverage of the most exciting event on earth. Where else can you see one man win millions on the strength of two cards?”

In the week leading up to the final table pokerzone will be the destination for poker players to find out what’s going on in Vegas. With exclusive interviews from some of the biggest players on earth; including Phil Ivey, Joe Hachem and Johnny Chan to name but a few, the channel will be offering the top coverage available on British television screens.

Brit pokerheads can read and watch all the latest news from the tournament on Pokerzone’s website or watch a new episode every night from the 4th to the 10th of August on Pokerzone SKY 843 from 10.50pm, with repeats throughout the following day.
